Kia Ora!
Two weeks ago we had our senior school production which included most students from years 4-8. We did Oliver with a Twist which was a take on Oliver Twist. I got a speaking role with four lines, my character’s name was Fezziwig. I was in act one scene one and scene four. My favourite part in the whole process was the dress/tech rehearsal we had in the morning on the Tuesday of the production week. A new skill I learnt was the importance of vocal warm-ups. If you didn’t get to see the show here’s my description: It was packed to the brim with songs. All the characters were very passionate. The famous line “Please, sir, can I have some more?” was included. My favourite scene was when Oliver was robbing the Maylie’s house and he got caught and Rose sat on him. One of our DLO tasks was to create a newpaper of something from the production.
